Lovely ...!!!

The carpenter I hired to help me restore an old farmhouse had just finished a rough first day on the job. A flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric saw quit, and now his ancient pickup truck refused to start. While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence.

On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.

Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.

"Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied." I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure, troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them on the tree every night when I come home. Then in the morning I pick them up again."

He paused. "Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick 'em up, there ain't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before."

What U see...?

One day a father and his rich family took his son to a trip to the country with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be. They spent a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family. When they got back from their trip the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"
"Very good Dad!" replied his son.
"Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked.
"Yeah!"
"And what did you learn?"
The son answered, "I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden; they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lamps in the garden; they have the stars. Our patio reaches to the front yard, they have a whole horizon."
When the little boy was finishing, his father was speechless.
His son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are!"

Our outlook on life depends on the way you look at things. What others may think as riches, others may want. The most important things in life are your friends, family, health, good humor and a positive attitude towards life. If you have these then you have everything!

Changing the world..., but how...???

Once a old man told me this, “When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world. I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation. When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family. Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world." And I thought this would be of great help for people who are trying to change the world or trying to adapt to the world.

Keep Helping...!!!

One day an old man was walking along the beach in the early morning and noticed the tide had washed thousands of starfish up on the shore. Up ahead in the distance he spotted a boy who appeared to be gathering up the starfish and one by one tossing them back into the ocean.

He approached the boy and asked him why he spent so much energy doing what seemed to be a waste of time.

The boy replied, "If these starfish are left out here like this they will bake in the sun, and by this afternoon they will all be dead."

The old man gazed out as far as he could see and responded, "But, there must be hundreds of miles of beach and thousands of starfish. You can't possibly rescue all of them. What difference is throwing a few back going to make anyway?"

The boy then held up the starfish he had in his hand and replied, "It's sure going to make a lot of difference to this one!"

Know about life and Enjoi it........ :) ...!!!

The American businessman was at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellow fin tuna.
The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them. The Mexican replied "only a little while". The American then asked why didn't he stay out longer and catch more fish?
The Mexican said he had enough to support his family's immediate needs. The American then asked, "but what do you do with the rest of your time?" The Mexican fisherman said, "I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siesta with my wife, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine and play guitar with my amigos, I have a full and busy life, senor."
The American scoffed, "I am a Harvard MBA and could help you. You should spend more time fishing and with the proceeds buy a bigger boat with the proceeds from the bigger boat you could buy several boats, eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to the processor, eventually opening your own cannery. You would control the product, processing and distribution. You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA and eventually NYC where you will run your expanding enterprise."
The Mexican fisherman asked, "But senor, how long will this all take?" To which the American replied, "15-20 years."
"But what then, senor?" The American laughed and said that's the best part. When the time is right you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich, you would make millions.
"Millions, senor? Then what?"
The American said, "Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar."

Mongoose bat might have made a difference...???

Yesterday CSK suffered a mighty blow from DC. The possible reason would be Hayden not using a mongoose bat or Gilchrist, Symonds or Gibbs not needing a mongoose bat. But I feel mongoose bat might not have made any difference.
As we know, CSK is pathetic in their bowling department, which is not much of an excuse, as they are the successful group compared to other seven (reaching semifinal and final in their last two IPL). They actually reached both with this pathetic bowling department. Except for a forceful weapon named Murali, CSK’s bowlers are a bunch of decent performers, who can’t win any match with their bowling.
So, where was the problem?
I feel the problem laid in the role definition of the batsmen. Vijay, I feel is the main culprit. He has a gun waiting to blaze away the whole of DC on the other end, and yet he tries some stupid shot and gets bowled. He is really good in taking good singles and playing ‘Bevan’ish innings, why, the hell, is he trying to clear the boundary, that too just the third ball he faced in the innings.
Ok, he tried something stupid and he got out, Fine. The next step should be a consolidation act, isn’t it? Instead of sending Raina, Badri would have been a better option, to play that kind of innings. There should be clear strategy, that if Hayden gets out we should send Raina and if Vijay gets out we should send Badri. By this way we always have balance on the pitch, which acts as a consolidation. If this consolidation act gets us to 10th - 12th over with 2 wickets down and some 7-8 runs per over, we have chance of completing any chase, with the firepower of our lower middle order. This, I feel, would help CSK. But still there are always people who know things better than us. CSK ku whistle podu  …!!!

When will we realize this...???

Today when I was traveling to office, I encountered and enlightened by an interesting incident.
I was traveling to my office from my home, and the distance would be somewhere around 11 km. While I was driving I saw a man and a dog on the road. The dog was so sensible (or so fearful) to cross the road. But the man was crossing the road, pointing the palm towards the vehicle coming towards him. He was expecting the people who are coming in some 30-45 kmph to stop, so as to cross the road. He was not cared about the no. of people who were stopping (and scolding) in front of him.
They dog waited till this happened and went on to cross the road when people were busy shouting at that man who crossed the road. I said this as an interesting incident at the starting of this passage, but it is also an embarrassing situation for us. Possibly the dog cared either for us or cared for itself. Either way, it was not disturbing others.
This is the attitude we don’t have now. We only care about us. I’m not saying that is not good. We don’t care about other people. I would say that is bad. But while caring about us, we’re hurting others in one way or the other. Now that’s pathetic.
Finally, anything which not affects others and which gives you happiness is good. Even a smile which affects others is a sin. When will we people realize that?

Fervent prayers that go unanswered - From TOI Lifestyle

This is the story of a little girl called Ranu, who grew up studying in a convent, where besides the three R’s, she was taught to pray.

‘‘Ask and you shall receive,’’ says the Bible and Ranu had been trained well in the art of ‘asking’. Not just that, she also learned to do small acts of kindness, to be generous and cultivate virtues. She was taught to remember that her Guardian Angel watched over her constantly.

‘‘Even in the washroom?’’ she had inquired innocently of Mother Christine for which she had been sent away to learn three pages of a history lesson.

In school, she and her other little friends prayed regularly for a variety of favours. Prayers included appeals for a bright, sunny morning on sports day, for flowers to bloom in the manicured school garden in time for the flower show, for seniors at school to perform well in their Board exams ... the list was quite long.

Ranu also had her own little list of personal prayers that she was certain needed immediate attention. “Please, God, give the measles to Miss P Alvarez,” she pleaded, ‘‘ ... for giving me a zero in my drawing test.’’ But Miss Alvarez looked none the worse than she was; in fact, she seemed to look even better with each passing day. Reluctantly, the disappointed Ranu gave up on this.

She didn’t give up praying, however. ‘‘I’ve never fainted at morning assembly,’’ she informed Him, ‘‘though girls around me keep dropping like nine pins. I feel so jealous of them God, especially when they’re fussed over and given a glass of yummy orange juice. Can’t You let me have a blackout too, just once?’’

But no! He had decided to ignore her plea again. She would watch with envy as other girls closed their eyes, raised their hands delicately to press throbbing temples, sway gracefully and collapse in a heap while her own two feet remained firmly anchored and refused to show any sign of weakness.

Then her best friend Anju fractured a bone in her foot. Her foot was now in a cast, and Anju was turned into a hero overnight. Her classmates rallied around her to touch the cast and write little messages of encouragement on the plaster of Paris. Anju’s fan following grew by the day; they followed her around. Ranu’s heart was consumed by envy.

‘‘Can’t you do anything for me? I want to feel important, too. It’s just not fair. I want a fracture. Perhaps you could break my hand ... No, on second thought, i need both hands to do my favourite needle work. Okay, my foot, but not the right one, please.’’

Ranu had no such luck. All her pleas seem to have fallen on deaf ears - why wasn’t He listening? It seemed as though she simply did not exist (for Him). She tried her best. She slid down the banisters backwards, raced up and down the staircase three steps at a time and even jumped off the swing in the hope that she would at least sprain her ankle. And what did she get in return? An unscathed body and a summons to appear before Mother Superior in her office!

‘‘Child, we have had enough of your wild ways. You will be gated. No morning walks for you for the next three weeks.’’

For Ranu, who loved nothing more than meandering in the woods that surrounded her school, this was an awful punishment. What would she do?

Later, much later, when life had moved on beyond childish dreams and innocent school girlish demands, when Ranu had grown to adulthood having weathered many challenges in life, she learnt the true value of prayers that go unanswered. And, that when He leaves some prayers unanswered, it is His way of showing that He knows what is best for us. He does answer every single prayer but in His own time and sometimes, when a prayer goes unanswered, that is the answer.

Why arsenal’s title hopes still alive.

After seeing Chelsea drop points against Hull, Arsenal can feel completely hopeful but not relaxed. ‘If Hull can make Chelsea not score, Arsenal also can’ and they has to believe in this. Now that Arsenal will be completing the so called ‘big fixtures’ next week. It’s now time for ManU or Chelsea to face against each other or against the teams which are fighting for the fourth place (most importantly Liverpool). So it would be unfair to say that any of the top two wouldn’t drop points. But that’s not the case with Arsenal. After losing to ManU and Chelsea in the first leg, Arsenal ran an impressive 10 matches without defeat. Arsenal needed ‘a big ManU’ to make them lose again. And if they run an impressive run again, possibly they might not find any team to stop them (as good as ManU or Chelsea). That’s why I feel Arsenal hasn’t lost the title yet.

Go Gunners....!!!

Arsenal was completely pathetic yesterday. ManU played good, but the stated fact of the first sentence takes the credit out of ManU (esp. Nani) and puts it into the hands of Arsenal as a huge debit. The debits in the hands of Arsenal are a horrible goalie, a completely selfish lone forward and a pathetic defensive midfielder (U know I’m not talking about Song).
Alumnia is completely out of sorts, bad in judgment and more importantly don’t know where his bars are. Denilson is pathetic. Instead of running with Rooney, as everybody saw, he was jogging behind him. Whatever might be the reason he might have, but the selfishness of Arshavin is not so pretty. He made some fantastic chances and gave a torrid time to Brown. But still his unwanted quality made him look like a loser. These were the three major reasons which I think handed Arsenal a defeat. But still, I can point some positives of the match which don’t actually matter much. First is the return of Song and presence of him on the pitch was stunning. He’s the only gunner who looked like putting decent challenges. Second is ever improving Vermaelen, who showed no signs of injury.
Now the transfer window is almost closed the chances of Arsene Wenger buying is also closing. So they need to play with group they got. They need to regroup and take it from there. Possibly, Replacing Alumnia and Denilson with Fabianski and Ramsey, and starting with Bendtner would be some good ideas. I still want Arsenal to win their remaining matches and win PL as well. Go Gunners!

Arsenal’s armories

It would be really bad to tell that the attacking options are not good for a team which has scored 59 goals from 22 encounters i.e. nearly 2.68 per match. But it would be more than fair to say the defending is horrible for a team which has conceded 25 goals and had only 7 clean sheets.
I don’t really feel Vermaelen has much to do with dreadful defending so as Sagna. The secondary culprits, I feel, would be left back and the defending midfielder. Alex song was good in that place and Arsenal miss him a lot. His replace Denilson is the one who is trying to go forward and defending thought is not as great as Song. Clichy was not upto his mark on the early part of the league and when he was finding his touch he was sidelined by an injury. Traore is really decent but his inexperience has cost him much. Of course, Gallas is aging, but he was and is quite good, if not great.
Our defending four or five (including midfielder) is a decent bunch. But in order to maintain clean sheets or to win the league, we need great bunch, something like which Barca or Chelsea has. So we can actually purchase a world class defender for a right price, but as it sounds, it is not so mandate and it is not going to happen, because of signing of Sol Campbell.
The main culprit, I feel, is the goalie. Alumnia has never been a world class goalie and Fabianski is good enough and again his inexperience can actually pull him down, as we saw against stoke in FA cup tie. He is a quick learner but putting him in the first team for this season would be a bad idea. So signing a world class goalie is a necessity. When the goalies of title runners are huge, ours atleast should be large enough. Shouldn’t he?

Do U know about "What is an AUDIT"?

Once upon a time there was a shepherd looking after his sheep on the side of a deserted road.
Suddenly a brand new Porsche screeches to a halt. The driver, a man dressed in an Armani suit, Cerutti shoes, Ray-Ban sunglasses, TAG-Heuer wrist-watch, and a Pierre Cardin tie gets out and asks the shepherd, “If I can tell you how many sheep you have, will you give me one of them?”
The shepherd looks at the young man and then looks at the large flock of grazing sheep and replies, “Okay.”
The young man parks the car, connects his laptop to the mobile-fax, enters a NASA Website, scans the ground using his GPS, opens a database and 60 Excel tables filled with algorithms and pivot tables. He then prints out a 150-page report on his high-tech mini-printer, turns to the shepherd and says, “You have exactly 1,586 sheep.”
The shepherd cheers, “That’s correct, you can have your sheep.”
The young man takes one of the animals from the flock and puts it in the back of his Porsche.
The shepherd looks at him and asks, “If I guess your profession, will you return my animal to me?”
The young man answers, “Yes, of course”
The shepherd says, “You are an auditor.”
“How did you know?” asks the young man.
“Very simple,” answers the shepherd. “Firstly, you came here without being wanted. Secondly, you charged me a fee to tell me something I already knew. Thirdly, you don’t understand anything about my business....” “Now, can I have my dog back?”

How to Stay Young and Happy Always

1. Throw out nonessential numbers.
This includes age, weight, and height.
Let the doctors worry about them.. That is why you pay them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down.
(Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!)

3. Keep learning:
Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.
Never let the brain get idle.
'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.'
And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!

4. Enjoy the simple things

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with him or her!

6. The tears happen:
Endure, grieve, and move on.
The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves.
LIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love:
Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.
Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health:
If it is good, preserve it.
If it is unstable, improve it.
If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
